Who We Are

We serve women who seek a deeper connection with their wealth. Through years of experience, we’ve learned that traditional financial services often miss what matters most to women—the desire to feel genuinely understood and confident in their financial decisions.

Our mission is to help you see new possibilities for your financial life. We create personalized strategies that respect where you are while building toward where you want to be. We provide the understanding and purpose you’re seeking in your wealth journey.

Where Strong Women
Connect With Their Wealth

Many smart, strong women have achieved significant success, yet feel disconnected from their wealth and investments. They want more than generic financial advice—they want to feel heard, appreciated, and connected to their money.

That’s why we created WatersEdge Wealth Management.

We have a vision of a new model of economic freedom where we make conscious financial decisions from a place of knowledge, strength and security. Together, we work to create a world where women, makers, and innovators actively engage and contribute to the things we care about, the communities we live in, and the people we love.

Our mission is to help you grow your wealth in alignment with your goals; this creates well-being and confidence. We believe your financial well-being is deeply connected to your overall well-being. We are mindful that relationships give purpose to the numbers in every financial plan and investment portfolio. For that reason, meaningful relationships with clients are foundational to our practice.

Our process gives you the information you need to determine your best path forward, helping you nurture your well-being and confidence.

How our Philosophy
Challenges Traditional Models

At WatersEdge Wealth Management, our process starts with knowledge. We begin by learning as much as we can about you and sharing a bit about the values we embody at WatersEdge. We ask and encourage you to ask: Are we a good fit? During a complimentary initial consultation, we’ll ask you to consider your goals, your dreams, and your personal values. We’ll learn about your present, we’ll talk about your past, and we’ll discuss the possibilities of your future.

Once we know who you are and how you work, we’ll create a personalized investment portfolio that is well-researched, adaptable and flexible, innovative, and appropriate to your values. Going forward, we are committed to engaging with you on a regular basis to review the performance and the suitability of your investment plan. We discuss, we listen, we learn, and we make changes as necessary. Our responsibility is to know you, what you value, how much risk you are comfortable with, and how you see the world. Together, we will create a plan that best reflects your needs as they are today and as they change in the future. Knowing where you are today makes it easier to imagine the possibilities for tomorrow.

There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non-diversified portfolio. Diversification does not protect against market risk.

Susan Cevette

Wealth Advisor, Founder and CEO

The founding of WatersEdge Wealth Management was years in the making, driven by a belief that financial planning should reflect the full lives and values
of the people it serves.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked closely with women to help them take control of their financial futures. Too often, traditional financial services overlook what matters most: the desire to feel heard, supported, and understood on your financial journey. That’s why at WatersEdge, we begin
every relationship by listening and creating plans that are deeply personalized and designed to evolve alongside your life.

With an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and credentials as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), I bring tested experience and clear guidance to every client relationship. I’ve been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager for six consecutive years, and was named one of Finance & Commerce’s “Top Women in Finance” in 2022. What motivates me most is the connection I build with each client and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Minneapolis is home. It’s where I spend time with my adult children and share a love of the arts. They inspire me daily to keep building a practice where women can feel confident in their choices and connected to their wealth.

–Ken Poirot

As Operations and Client Services Manager and a founding team member of WatersEdge Wealth Management, I’m passionate about ensuring your experience with us feels seamless and supportive. Whether you’re scheduling your first consultation or have been working with us for years, I want you to feel heard, valued, and confident that we’re taking excellent care of you.

My personal philosophy centers on meaningful engagements with the community and clients, and that is the heart of what we do at WatersEdge Wealth Management. I find inspiration in helping women feel confident and empowered in their financial decisions.

Outside of work, my free time is spent at the lake enjoying my family and the beauty of Northern Minnesota.

Nicholas Nicome

Associate

As an Associate with a background in special education and the arts, I bring a thoughtful and curious approach to my work at WatersEdge. My experience working with children with disabilities taught me the value of listening, staying present, and meeting people where they are. These are skills that continue to guide me every day.

I’m drawn to the way thoughtful financial choices can align our money with our values and the life we want to live. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for learning, I enjoy helping clients build financial plans that reflect their values and support the life they envision.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me chasing my artistic passions, doing freelance graphic design, and supporting my cooperatively owned union printshop.
